Writing By Learning From The Best

When I first started writing salesletter’s I had to buy just about everything under the sun. I must have spent close to a hundred thousand dollars. The way that I look at is that I would have spent more than that if I went to college, right!

From every Harlan Kilstein program, John Carlton and a long list of other’s has helped me to develop the skills that I have today. Thankfully I had good mentors. Recently I have joined Tactic7 and I am so excited about it. You can read more about my review here – Harlan Kilstein’s Tactic 7 Review.

But let’s talk more about writing sales letters.

One of the most difficult aspects of writing a sales letter is not the actual writing. It’s getting into the mind of the potential customers. Your goal is to answer all of their questions. I’m sure this isn’t the first time you are hearing this, and it definitely won’t be the last time. It’s important.

Unfortunately this isn’t an easy thing to do. You need to understand the mind not only of the customer, but also the human mind. While this may seem to be the same, it’s not. The customer’s mind will be why they need to product, and the human mind needs the triggers that drive them to make the purchase. It’s easier said than done!

When you are trying to learn how to write copy it’s imperative that you gain the knowledge to write to make the sale. This means that you need to start reviewing some of the different top copywriters products. Harlan’s NLP is a great one since it helps to understand the way the mind works. Getting John Carltons’ books of salesletters will help you to learn how to write copy that pulls and is tight. These two combined will help you to write killer copy.

Of course these are only two of many, but they are great places to start.
